Shiho Donkatsu Reviews

This undoubtedly is the best curry katsu I've had in a long time! The chicken was cooked perfectly, it was tender, not dry, the curry was thick, not watery. I liked the salad that came with it too. It was so much food that I ended up sharing it with my daughter. Will definitely be back!

BEST CURRY KATSU EVER. My boyfriend and I love coming here because they have the most amazing, delicious, unforgettable chicken curry katsu. The curry is sweet and flavorful, with no chopped up vegetables or excess food (which is how we like it) and the katsu itself is very crispy and tender. We crave it almost every week and it's definitely one of our go-to spots. The staff is always friendly and there are definitely more than enough seats to choose from so you can comfortably devour this delectable meal. It may be a bit of a wait sometimes but that's only because the katsu is cooked to order so that it can be warm and fresh for the customers. I can't explain how scrumptious this dish is so you MUST try it for yourself! ALSO if you want to take it to go, the boxes work cost you an extra 25¢ I believe. AND if you're planning on getting a refreshment like water or soda, don't forget to add it to your meal before you pay because they don't accept transactions under $5. Just a heads up!

Ordered the King Donkatsu and it was probably the best Japanese katsu I've ever eaten. Japanese katsus are often too bland for my tastes compared to the Hawaiin katsus. I know they're supposed to be eaten with the Katsu sauce but I like my meat at least a little seasoned. I thought the Donkotsu here was perfectly tasty on its own, and the large panko crumb was incredibly light and crispy. The katsu sauce was solid and added good acidity. I ordered takeout so the salad dressing came on the side. It has a strong sesame flavor so if that's not to your taste I would not add a lot of it. I loved the sesame flavor though and added all of it. Overall, I highly recommend the King Donkotsu. Portion was really nice too.

Located at the food court at The Source. They have curry rice or udon options. For the price the portions are relatively large. Pork cutlets are juicy, crunchy and very filling. Came with miso soup and radishes as well. wait time on a Saturday was about 10 minutes

I ordered the tempura shrimp udon here. It took some time to get our food, but the food court was busy as it was a weekend. It's a pretty clean food court with lots of different vendors. Shiho Donkatsu is located at the far end of the food court. My udon soup was really tasty and had a clean fishy undertone because of the fish cakes. The tempura was really good. It was fried in panko, not too greasy, although it was slightly over battered. My boyfriend had the chicken katsu curry. It was a very generous portion of katsu chicken, rice, slaw, curry and miso soup. The curry was so good that i dipped my tempura in it. It had a deep flavor and was not too spicy. The dressing on the slaw was really sour though and I didn't like it. Overall it was a good lunch.

This is located right next to Mao Chinese Restaurant so you can order from both places at either register. The donkatsu breading was flaky and light. However it did start to get soggy at the bottom relatively fast due to the salad which was unfortunate. The salad dressing was acidic and delicious so it was yummy to pair with rice. A bigger mound of rice would have completed the dish. I'd come here again though! Donkatsu 7/10

Order via DoorDash so katsu had a 30min journey before being eaten. The katsu remained crisp even though there was a delay in eating. The Cheese katsu was a hit with my kids.
